SUSPENSION SYSTEM

The all-aluminium Alfa™ Link Suspension system ensures excellent driving dynamics and handling. The front suspension uses a double-wishbone system with a semi-virtual steering axis to keep the wheels perfectly perpendicular to the road, even during intense turns. The rear suspension, a Multilink system with four and a half links, guarantees the best of both worlds between lateral grip and comfort on uneven surfaces.

Active Blind Spot Assist

Blind Spot Detection monitors the driver’s blind spots while driving, visually warning them on the side mirrors when another vehicle is in their blind spot. Plus, the system offers a corrective steering manoeuvre to avoid a collision with vehicles in the hidden blind spot.

Rear Path Detection is activated while the vehicle is moving in reverse: it helps when backing out of parking spaces and other reduced visibility situations. It also alerts the driver when something approaches the vehicle laterally.

Lane Keep Assist alerts the driver if the vehicle is unintentionally leaving its lane and automatically intervenes to correct its path and direct it back into its lane

The vehicle has achieved Level 2 Autonomous driving thanks to a front-mounted camera to monitor the vehicle’s surroundings, laterally and longitudinally in combination with three other systems: Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Traffic Jam Assist. These three systems interact to maintain the correct position on the road with minimal driver intervention.

These features assist in keeping the vehicle at the correct speed, in the centre of its lane, greatly reducing the possibility of collisions, while constantly checking the vehicle’s surroundings in congested traffic where accidents often occur.
